Introduction to the basic situation of aluminum alloy templates

The aluminum alloy quick release formwork system, as a new type of building formwork system, has been used for nearly 50 years since its inception in the United States in 1962. It has been widely used in construction in developed countries such as the United States and Canada, as well as emerging industrial countries such as Mexico, Brazil, Malaysia, South Korea, and India. At present, it is widely used in the Pearl River Delta in China and has become an inevitable trend to replace wooden templates in the future.

(1) Aluminum alloy templates are divided into two types based on materials: aluminum plate system and profile system;

1. Characteristics of aluminum plate system: It adopts a combination of aluminum plates and profiles welded into a template. Due to the low processing cost of aluminum plates, the overall cost is low.

2. Characteristics of the profile system: It uses aluminum alloy profiles extruded as raw materials, resulting in high overall cost. The system has good flatness, verticality, and durability. Most of the projects currently in use worldwide use this system.

(2) Aluminum alloy templates are divided into two installation forms: steel plate connection and high tension bolt connection.

1. Steel sheet connection: The system uses aluminum alloy profiles as raw materials. The main feature is to create a groove at the joint of the template, then insert the steel sheet with two holes, pull the inner wall panel and outer wall panel together, and connect the two holes of the pin, pin and steel sheet. This system is mainly used abroad (shear walls with a thickness of 100-150mm have low structural stress, and are all low rise projects that do not require a back corrugated system).

2. High tensile bolt connection: The system uses aluminum alloy profiles as raw materials. The main feature is to open 20mm holes (with a spacing of 800mm) in the middle of the template, and then pull the inner wall and outer wall panels together with high tension bolts. The back ridge system is then connected together on the outside of the template.

Due to its high stress intensity, this system is currently mainly used in high-rise and super high-rise buildings.
